The Castle of Monticelli includes a tower built in the year 1100, with various buildings attached to it in about 1460, when the fortress was transformed into a summer residence. This group of buildings is known as Torre Piccola (Small Tower). During the restoration phase we have divided the "Torre Piccola" into three large apartments with their entrances all next to each other on the paved common square. The one on the ground floor is used by one of the owners principally in the summer.
On the ground floor there is an apartment with a very large living room of about 90 square meters, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is inside the oldest tower and has all the antique stone walls in sight. From the living room one can easily reach the private garden of this apartment. The apartment is called "Raffaello".
On the intermediate floor there are the main entrance and the 40 square meter large living room of the second apartment, which is divided in 3 levels. The living room has a large fire place, a large kitchenette and a gorgeous view on the underlying valley and Perugia. By moving up from the living room one can access through a beautiful wooden staircase a 15 square meter "internal balcony" with a double bed. Descending instead from the living room to the floor below one reaches the main double bedroom. This apartment has two bathrooms, one of which is situated in the basins where in antiquity they were pressing grapes to make wine. The main bedroom has direct access to a beautiful private garden with a view of Perugia at a distance of 10 miles. This apartment is called "Botticelli".
The third apartment, called "Leonardo", can be reached from an antique external staircase located on the paved square common to all three apartments. The living room is about 40 square meters. It has a big fireplace and a kitchenette. The apartment has a double bedroom with a private bathroom and 5 more beds on three different levels inside the tower from the year 1100. On the same floor of the main bedroom there is a room with two beds and one wooden staircase ; on the floor above there is a small double bed and on the last floor there is an "internal balcony" with a double bed. This apartment has two bathrooms.
