From the north
If you are arriving from the north, on the Autostrada “del Sole” (A1) take the exit at Valdichiana. Then, continue along the motorway (Superstada) in the direction of Perugia, and take the exit Magione. Follow first the signs Magione and after 1.5 km turn left in the direction of Chiusi.  Proceeing on this road, after a while you will see the Lake Trasimeno on your right-hand side. Go on until a sign indicating Mugnano to the left. Pass around Mugnano folowing the direction Castiglione della Valle. About 6 km after Mugnano, you will see Castiglione della Valle at your right-hand side. At a cross-road at the bottom of Castiglione della Valle turn left  in the direction of Marsciano and follow the sign "Monticell". About 600 meters after Castiglione della Valle and about 50 meters after a small bridge  on a river,  you will find a brown sign indicating "Chiesa di S.Paolo e S.Ubaldo in Monticelli". Turn left and follow the sign by moving up the hill. The small hill of Monticelli and its  antique buildings at the top are clearly visible from Castiglione della Valle. The parking is on the left before you reach the top of the hill.

From Rome and the south
Follow the Autostrada A1 until the exit at Orte, and then take the Superstrada (motorway) E45 in the direction of Terni-Perugia-Cesena. In the proximity of Terni be careful to turn left towards Perugia and Cesena and to continue on the E45 ( in other words be sure to avoid entering Terni). About 10 km. past the exit for Todi, exit the E45 following the signs for Marsciano-Collepepe. Continue in the direction of Marsciano, and turn right at the first roundabout and left at the second one. Shortly afterwards you will arrive at a “T” crossing. Take a left towards Marsciano. At less than 100 meters there is a round-about.  Take a right  in the direction of Perugia, Spina and Tavernelle. After Cerqueto, continue to the left in the direction of Spina and Tavernelle (do not follow the sign to "Perugia" here). After about 3 km, you will reach 3 turns in the direction of  Spina. Don't take these turns and continue straight until you reach a right turn for San Biagio. Again continue straight and about 500 meters after the turn for San Biagio,  you will see a brown sign on the right hand sign of the road indicating "San Paolo e Sant´Ubaldo in Monticelli". You will also see  on your right-hand side a small hill with one large building on the top of it. This is Monticelli. It is less than 1 km before Castiglione della Valle. The parking of Borgo Monticelli is on the left-hand side before you reach the top of the hill.
