Around Borgo Monticeli there are plenty of fascinating areas for hiking. You can hike along the antique etruscan and roman pathways, through olive groves and the umbrian hills, visiting small medieval towns with their artistic treasures.
Closeby there are also two forests, untouched for thousends of years and with very good hiking-paths: both are within two kilometers distance. In fact both are clearly visible from the hill of Monticelli and from many windows of the Castle. One of them is so special that it is protected by the European Union. One will rediscover the colours and pleasant smells of the wild.
